Chiltern Railways is advising passengers that are travelling next week of improvement work taking place between London Marylebone and High Wycombe.

The work will be taking place on the weekend of the 9th and 10th February 2019

This will mean that passengers may need to travel via diverted and/or alternative routes, so journey times may be extended.

The work taking place will allow Network Rail to prepare the way for Britain’s new High-Speed Railway and is part of Britain’s Railway Upgrade Plan.

Any customers travelling to Wembley Stadium should check the website for detailed information on how this will impact their journey and where applicable, the alternative travel guidance.

What did the officials say?

Alan Riley, Customer Services Director of Chiltern Railways explains:

“We appreciate that engineering work is disruptive to our customers and we are doing everything we can to minimise this disruption as much as we can.   It is essential that anyone travelling on the 9th and 10th February checks their journey before they travel, as this will impact all our routes.

“We also recommend purchasing tickets in advance from our website or app to save time at stations and guarantee the best price.”
