Network Rail has announced that the newly upgraded Liverpool Lime Street is British train passengers’ favourite major station*.

People using Lime Street were 93.8% satisfied, according to the latest National Rail Passenger Survey published yesterday.

Liverpool Lime Street beat London’s St Pancras (93.6%) and King’s Cross (92.9%) stations.

In recent years Lime Street has undergone a major upgrade, this was part of a ÂŁ340 million Liverpool City Region rail improvement programme.

In the latest NPRS, held between 1 September and 16 November 2018, Transport Focus surveyed 26,766 passengers nationwide.

  1. No wonder Liverpool Lime Street is probably the best railway station in Merseyside and Northwest England. With trains coming to/from cities including Manchester, Glasgow, London, Leeds, Birmingham and many more places passengers can travel to/from Liverpool by train. Plus with HS2 under construction which won’t be going to Liverpool but it will have connections.
