What did the officials say?
Nick Simpson from Grosmont MPD gave us this information about the busy winter period operations.
“We are running two days of Whitby excursions on the 30th and 1st, that will be using freshly out-shopped 5428 ‘Eric Treacy’ and D7628 ‘Sybilla’. The other days up until the 1st, from the 27th will see the Q6 and D.M.U. on passenger duties.
A lighting up duty has been rostered to put warming fires in on boxing day.
The J27 is also on hand as a ready spare in case of need.
As for the rest of the fleet the image says it all! The very busy period of winter maintenance is heavily underway”
