The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways have announced that Garratt locomotive No.130 has had its boiler lifted into its frames.

The frames welcomed the new boiler at the Welsh Highland Railways’ Dinas Locomotive Works today, 12th December 2018.

The boiler was manufactured by Northern Steam Engineering in Stockton-On-Tees.

This is excellent news for the team working on the locomotive and brings it one step closer to hauling passengers on the narrow gauge railway.

The boiler for NG/G15 No.134 departed Dinas this morning on its way to Loughborough for assessment.
