c2c has announced that they are running longer trains during the evenings over the next two weeks to help Christmas shoppers get into the festive spirit.
We are doubling over 500 evening trains in length from 4-carriages to 8-carriages on weekdays until Friday 21 December.
Each day there are nearly 10,000 extra seats, as traditionally quiet times for travel become much busier during December.
The first longer train each evening will be the 19.25 service from Fenchurch Street to Grays via Rainham.
The final longer train is the last service of the night, the 00.34 departure from Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness via Laindon.
What did the officials say?
c2c Delivery Director Joel Mitchell said:
“We know that in December our evening trains are busier than ever, as more people head out for Christmas shopping or stay in London later for Christmas parties. That’s why we’re playing our part by doubling the length of over 500 evening trains in the run-up to Christmas.”

There are party-goers and boozers who use c2c do cause such trouble including being sick on the seats, floor and causing such a smell. Whilst leaving it in such a state that the cleaners have to clean up the mess that are paid to keep the trains clean. Its the same on other rail operators that have seen it all before.
