Where and when to see a steam locomotive in Keighley and York this Sunday

A steam train will be in Keighley and York on Sunday 29th September 2018.

The locomotive hasn’t been confirmed yet, but this could be 48151, 45699 Galatea or 35018 British India Line. The locomotive is hauling the Lune Rivers Trust tour, which originates in Carnforth.

The locomotive will depart Carnforth at 07:41 am and will stop at Hellifield (08:32), Skipton (08:50), Keighley (09:08), Shipley (09:21), Woodlesford (10:18) and Church Fenton (11:03) on their way to York.

The steam locomotive will depart York at approximately 11:54 am.

The railtour will then leave York, bound for the Scarborough, where it will steam through Malton (12:21) and Seamer (12:39) before arriving at Scarborough at 12:48.

After a couple of hours at the seaside town, the locomotive will depart for Carnforth, steaming through Seamer (14:39) and Malton (14:44) before arriving at York at 15:22.

From York, the locomotive will head back to Carnforth via Church Fenton (15:40), Woodlesford (16:47), Shipley (17:14), Keighley (17:22), Skipton (17:33), and Hellifield (17:50) where it will then arrive back at its destination of Carnforth at 20:15.
