Dovetail Games have announced the official release date for Train Simulator 2019.
Their new game will be released on the 11th October 2018 and will be available via the Steam Store and the Dovetail store.
Big news for this year is that the game will run as 64-bit, rather than the 32-bit that is found in Train Simulator 2018. This will mean that the game is a lot more stable when you are playing it and will allow for longer routes and more AI trains in scenarios.
The latest edition of the Train Simulator will come with Soldier Summit, Salt Lake City, The Rhine Railway, Frankfurt High Speed and Portsmouth Direct Line as standard.
As always, the upgrade for Train Simulator 2019 is free to existing players, however, although you will get the 64-bit upgrade, you won’t get the additional routes (unless you already own them of course).
For new players, a price for Train Simulator hasn’t yet been announced. However, the current game was priced at £24.99 – so we expect it to be around that price.
Train Simulator 2018 is currently on offer at just £8.74 – more information on that here.
This is all very exciting and we can’t wait to get our hands on it!
