South Western Railway has announced that despite their best efforts, talks on the 1st August 2018 with rail union, RMT, have failed to reach a resolution.
The train operator had hoped that by mirroring the wording of the agreement reached between Greater Anglia and RMT that they could reach an agreement and end the dispute for their passengers and employees.
However, RMT has refused to accept this on South Western Railway what they have accepted on Greater Anglia.
Despite the train operating company reassuring that they will roster a guard on all train services, which has included a new suburban fleet to be introduced in 2019, the union has refused to agree to some flexibility during the disruption.
