Train operator Caledonian Sleeper is giving passengers a unique insight into its new trains with a special virtual reality event in Glasgow this month.
The rail service is inviting members of the public to look into the future of Caledonian Sleeper at Glasgow Central for two days.
People will enter the new carriages in virtual reality. This has been created by digital media studio, Soluis, and will allow users to walk through the Club Car and look at the new rooms, some of which will be en-suite.
The event will be run between 8 am and 8 pm on July 25th and 26th 2018 and is free to enter. Those who attend will be able to enter a competition to be in with a chance of winning a return trip for two on the new trains.
The new trains are set to make their debut from October of this year.
The £150m fleet has been partly funded by the Scottish Government. They have been designed to accommodate the modern-day traveller and cater to both business and leisure travel guests.
A range of accommodation options will be offered
- Comfort Seats
- Classic Rooms (twin or single)
- Club Rooms (twin or single with en-suite)
- Suites (double bed with en-suite)
- Classic, Club and Suites will also be available as fully accessible rooms for guests with reduced mobility
