The Lincolnshire Wolds Railway has announced that it has received a boost in its ratings following the recent inspection by Visit England.

The Lincolnshire Wolds Railway has recently started work on its extension at Ludborough and has achieved an overall score of 74% by the assessors at Visit England.

This year’s result sees an increase of 5% on the last assessment that took place back in 2016.

The inspection that took place includes catering and retail outlets as well as visitor information and customer service.

What did the officials say?

LWR Managing Director, Frank Street said:

“This achievement has only been possible due to the hard work and dedication of our volunteer workforce and is a wonderful result for all their efforts”.
