The Ruislip Lido Railway, in London, has today announced that all train services will be cancelled at the railway on the 31st May and 1st June 2018.

The unfortunate news is due to their being a shortage of volunteers available to run the railway safely.

The railway does their best to run the advertised timetable, but the railway is run entirely by volunteer staff and unfortunately, there is nothing the railway can do.

Trains will be running as normal on Saturday 2nd June 2018, allowing you to have an enjoyable ride around the lido to finish your Half Term off nicely.

Can I help?

As we have said above, the railway is run entirely on volunteer help. If you would like to volunteer some of your time to be a ticket officer, driver or guard, then please do click here for details.

We have visited this lovely little line on a few occasions in the past and have been made most welcome. We hope to visit in the future, will we see you there volunteering I wonder?
