The South Devon Railway has announced that they are holding a grand reunion for everyone who has worked on the Ashburton Branch, at any time in its history.
The reunion is being held at Buckfastleigh on Saturday 13th April 2019.
If you have worked as a volunteer or employee of any of the South Devon Railway companies or associated groups, the Dart Valley Railway, British Railways, or even Great Western Railway, and you worked on this branch line at any time, then you are invited to their reunion.
The reunion is being held during the railways Golden Anniversary Steam Gala and promises to see alot of steam locomotives in action.
There will be displays and artefacts relating to the history of the Ashburton Branch.
Also, there will be a special Reunion train trip to Totnes and back to reacquaint yourself with the line. Finally, a hog roast and a bar at Buckfastleigh in the evening followed by some light entertainment.
A grand reunion for everyone who has worked on the Ashburton Branch, at any point in its history, is being held at Buckfastleigh on Saturday 13 April 2019!
The event opens at 1 pm with the special train running at 4 pm (returns 5:30), and the hog roast starting at 6 pm (exact times TBC). The bar will be open all day.
Up to three members of your family or guests are also welcome to accompany you.
This event is free to attend but donations will be gratefully received at the hog roast.
