Virgin Trains has announced that if passengers show an avocado when purchasing their ticket, they will be entitled to the same discount as showing a 26 to 30 railcard.
The food item will allow customers to get a third off most fares when travelling with Virgin Trains.
This is after the railcard.co.uk website crashed after the release of the 26-30 railcard. It seems now that Virgin Trains may just ‘avo’ the answer.
Customers aged between 26 and 30 and have an avocado on their person will be able to buy a ticket on the Virgin Trains West Coast route from today until the 20th March can qualify for the same discount as the railcard.
Journeys booked using #Avocard must be completed by midnight on the 20th March 2018
Photo identification will be required when booking you a ticket.
