The Apedale Valley Railway, in Staffordshire, has announced that advanced tickets for Tracks to the Trenches, which is being held from 13th-15th July 2018, are now on sale.

Tracks in the Trenches 2018 is the third in a series of events to mark the First World War Centenary. It highlights how narrow gauge railways supported the men of all nations in their battle.

Thanks to the North Gloucestershire Narrow Gauge Railway, their Henschel ‘Brigadelok’ will be making a welcome return to Apedale. The locomotive was built in 1918 at the Heschel works in Kassel, Germany.

Why buy advanced tickets?
