The Avon Valley Railway, which is based in Bristol, is running a special charter train, throughout Saturday the 24th of February.
The special charter train has been arranged in order to raise funds to be put towards the overhaul of Robert Stephenson Hawthorn 0-6-0T No.7151, which is based at the railway.
The locomotive is currently withdrawn from service and stored.
Hauling these special charter trains is Kerr Stuart Well-tank 0-4-0T “Willy”, which is a visitor to the line.
The day will start with the first train leaving at 10.30am. Standard fares apply for the train, but running to a special timetable for the event.
