What did the officials say?

Sarah Turner, East Midlands Trains General Manager, said: “This is one of our favorite events of the year. We are proud to continue to play our part in helping many thousands of people visit Lincoln and have a wonderful day out. We work closely with the organisers and our local partners to help make the event a success and it is especially pleasing that we are able to provide more seats than ever before across the four days. As well as the huge increase in seats there will also be special arrangements at Lincoln and some other stations. We would ask customers to leave a bit of extra time for their journey so we can help everyone enjoy the occasion.”

Lydia Rusling, Head of Visit Lincoln, said “We welcome these extra services to Lincoln for the Christmas Market on one of the biggest weekends of the year for many businesses in the city. It’s a great opportunity to welcome more visitors to Lincoln who will hopefully enjoy their visit and return again to explore more.”
