The Aln Valley Railway has collected a Highly Commended for their efforts at the North East England Tourism Awards presentation on the 16th November.
The awards were held at ‘The Boiler Shop’ in Newcastle.
Unfortunately, they didn’t win the top spot in the Small Business Category.
The awards showcase the range of high-quality tourism businesses on offer in the North East.
The Northern Tourism Alliance (who organise the awards) is a collaboration of the regions tourism bodies. They work on projects together that will benefit the region.
Members of the alliance are:Â Newcastle Gateshead Initiative, Northumberland Tourism, Visit County Durham, The North East Hotels Association, South Tyneside Council, and North Tyneside Council.
South Tynedale Railway Win Two Awards
Finally, well done to the South Tynedale Railway for scooping two golds: Small Visitor Attraction and Dog-Friendly Business!
