The Belgium Steam Museum will be holding the Stoomcentrum Maldegem’s steam festival in 2018 to commemorate 100 years since the end of the first world war.
Steam locos, both narrow gauge and standard gauge, will be attending the event next week.
The event is being held on May 5th/6th 2018.
Groups wishing to attend, transport from Hull is available on Zeebrugge P&O Ferries, Bruges Railway Station is also nearby.

Apedale’s Kerr Stuart ‘Joffre’ and privately owned Kerr Stuart ‘Wren’ Peter Pan are both making their way from England for the event.
British built ‘Austerity’ No. WD196 Errol Lonsdale and Avonside 0-4-0ST Fred will also be at the event, though these are both residents in Belgium
Rounding up the lineup is 0-4-0WT Yvonne built in 1906, Prussian ‘T7’ 0-6-0T from Train 1900 in Luxembourg and resident St. Leonard 0-4-0T Yvonne.
Lots of WW1 activities and attractions are planned. It looks to be a superb event if you can make it to Belgium!
