Train operating company, East Midlands Trains, has unveiled a new business booking system designed for small and medium-sized businesses.

The new system is designed so they can spend less time on admin and more time growing their business.

Business Travel is an online portal which allows employees to quickly book their own travel within guidelines set by the employer.

The employees can set up their own profile and either pay with company cards or individual cards.

This available on trains across the country, not just EMT Services.

East Midlands Trains also don’t charge booking fees!

How does it work?
  • The business sends a staff list to EMT and they also decide their limits.
  • EMT will send the team their login details.
  • When an employee logs in, they will be able to see the lowest travel fares
  • Pay by debit or company cards.
  • Collect your tickets from any station before you travel!
What did the officials say?

Richard Clay, Head of Sales, East Midlands Trains, said: “Our new Business Travel system makes it much easier for small and medium-sized businesses to travel for work. It’s like having a full travel agency at your fingertips but without the fees and costs which much larger businesses will pay. We’re absolutely committed to helping the East Midlands grow and we believe this tool will help businesses to concentrate on running a thriving and successful business and spend less time booking their travel.”

Kathryn Warren, Administration Assistant at Pick Everard, the first business to sign up to the new platform, added: “We are really pleased to be working directly with East Midlands Trains. The new booking platform helps us keep all rail bookings in one place and control our rail spend. We also know by working directly with EMT we are being offered the lowest rail fares.”
