Manufacturers of OO Gauge Model Train items have been releasing their 2018 Catalogues, filled with many new Locomotives and Rolling Stock.
So far, Hornby Railways and Bachmann Branchline have published their catalogues.
These are available for the public to buy.
Below I will give a quick overview of 2018’s range.
Hornby Railways
Hornby’s 2018 Catalogue is available to buy from their website, with products listed on their website for Pre-Order. The first product listed is the “East Coast Express Train Set”. This set features an LNER B17 in BR Livery and two BR Mark 1s. It’s available for Pre-Order and is expected in for September 2018.
Among the new Steam Locomotives available, there is a GWR Grange in BR Green Livery, along with an SR Lord Nelson in BR Green Livery, LMS Patriot in LMS Wartime Livery and LNER B12 in LNER Apple Green Livery to name a few additions.
New Diesel locomotives include Class 50s and a Class 67 in Colas Rail Livery.
Coaches include the GWR Hawksworth-design in BR Livery. As well as the LNER Gresley-designed in BR Livery, the SR Maunsell Rebuilt in SR Livery and LMS Liveried.
50 new Wagons have been added to the list. These include BR Liveried Coke Wagons, YGB ‘Seacow’ Bogie Ballast Hoppers, and PCA Vee Tank Wagons.

Bachmann Branchline
Bachmann Branchline’s 2018 feature Steam Locomotives such as LB&SCR Class H1 Atlantic in LB&SCR Livery, BR Standard 5 with Early Crest, LNER V2 in LNER Livery and ROD 2-8-0 in War Department Black.
For Diesel Locomotives, we have a Class 25 in BR Blue, Class 37 in BR Green and Class 40 in BR Green.
The majority of the new Coaches are of Bulleid design, with there also being BR Mark 1s and SECR Birdcage Coaches.
Wagons that have been announced for 2018 include China Clay, Sand Tippers, High Sided Steel and Fish Van.
